Cones are evil, and must be punished.

Ahh man I hate when there is a start with an immediate turn like that. My first gear would end up topped out in the middle of the turn and I would end up throwing the car out of balance by shifting or just go through slower. Damn you first gear that tops out at like 25!

I can never decide when to shift. The Sonic’s first topped out at like 20, and second at 48, so I even had to shift to 3rd in it.

I hit a cone on this run, and I’m pretty sure that was it. Not with the front, but I think I tapped it with the rear wheel and knocked it over.

Yup, sounds just like my 6sp Miata. I enjoy any course where I can ring out first gear without going into a full turn. Slaloms are fine though. I generally end up right at the rev limiter on second on most courses but there are certainly a few where I have gotten pretty far into third if it has a fast finish. I never want to bother with downshifting so I just deal with the rev limiter bouncing in spots.
